Nana Mohammed is a multimedia journalist from northeastern Nigeria. Her work ranges from conflict reporting, humanitarian crisis, child trafficking and abuse, climate justice, and the intersection between conflict and climate change in the Lake-Chad region. She is currently a producer and research fellow, at the University of Massachusetts Boston School for the Environment’s Center for Environmental Justice Media.

Previously, Nana worked on the documentary film Stolen Daughters,” for HBO and the BBC. The story, of the kidnapped 270 Chibok schoolgirls.

Before moving to the United States, she was a producer at Trust Television in Abuja, Nigeria. She began her broadcasting career at a private radio station in Yola, Adamawa State, where she developed a strong foundation in journalism and storytelling. 

Nana holds a Master’s degree in Science Journalism from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in Language and Communication Arts, from Modibbo Adama University of Technology in Yola, Nigeria.
